This page describes how Dr. Özgür Zan (“I”, “me”, “my”) handles personal information when you visit ozgurzan.com or use the forms on this site.

Who I am

I am Dr. Özgür Zan, the data controller for this site, based in Turkey. For any question about your data, contact me via the form at /#contact.

What I collect

• Form submissions. When you submit a contact, mentorship application, or investor inquiry form, I receive what you type into the fields (name, email, organization, message, etc.). The forms are hosted by Tally.so; I receive each submission by email.
• Site analytics. Aggregate usage data via Vercel Analytics (page views, country, device class), and — only if you accept the cookie notice — via Google Analytics 4 (traffic sources, referrers, campaign attribution, with IP anonymization) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps, scroll maps, and session recordings of how visitors interact with the pages). Clarity recordings mask text input by default and do not capture keystrokes in form fields.
• Cookies. Tally form embeds set cookies to preserve your form state across pages. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies only after you accept the cookie notice; declining keeps them off. No advertising cookies, no cross-site ad targeting.

Why I collect it

• To reply to your inquiry or evaluate your application.
• To keep a reasonable record of correspondence in case we work together later.

How long I keep it

• Form submissions: until your inquiry is resolved, plus a reasonable record-keeping period (typically up to 24 months). You can request deletion sooner.
• Email correspondence: kept for as long as needed for our working relationship and a reasonable period after.

Your rights

If you are in Turkey, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, applicable law (KVKK, GDPR, UK GDPR) gives you the right to:

• Access the data I hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to processing
• Data portability
• File a complaint with the relevant authority (in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Authority — KVKK)

Third-party processors

I share data only with the providers needed to run this site:

• Tally.so (Belgium) — hosts the forms. Tally privacy policy.
• Vercel (United States) — hosts the site and provides basic analytics. Vercel privacy policy.
• Google (United States) — Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you accept the cookie notice. Google privacy policy.
• Microsoft (United States) — Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings, loaded only after you accept the cookie notice. Microsoft privacy statement.

I do not sell your data. I do not share it for advertising.

International transfers

Some processors above are located outside Turkey and the EEA. They rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards required under GDPR and KVKK to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

I will update the “Last updated” date when material changes happen. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
